Elite Custom Costumes is the mother/daughter duo that have been in the dance community for over 12 years! Laura and Alexis started their journey making all of the costumes for their home studio where Laura’s younger daughter danced competitively. During that time, both ladies sewed and embellished many solo, duo, and trio costumes. They also worked on group costumes which included: small groups, large groups, and grand lines (which was 50 girls in total). Over the years, they have experienced many disappointing factors when it came to the quality of the costumes purchased from catalogs. Laura spent countless hours repairing costumes with poor craftsmanship. As a competitive dance parent and seamstress, Laura quickly came to the realization that the amount of money parents invest in costumes did not reflect the longevity of a competition season!

Laura and Alexis decided to take a leap of faith and begin their own custom costume business to benefit others in the community that had the same concerns. Both Laura and Alexis left their corporate jobs to pursue their costume designing passions. Both women run the business from the ground up. This includes; sewing bases and appliqués, embellishing, dying fabric, laser-cutting patterns, creating headpieces, customizing matching team wear, and much more!

Elite Custom Costumes creates costumes for any/all genres! These include: jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, ballroom, bolero, figure skating, baton, etc. They even create professional audition wear for many popular sports teams! Some examples; both the Tennessee Titans and the DCC Cheerleaders!

Laura and Alexis promise to make the costume journey as easy and enjoyable for each individual client! Both take tremendous pride in giving the utmost time and attention to each individual client to be sure that their costume vision is brought to life.
